Multinationals' letter on carbon-cutting targets

In a signed letter 26 business leaders from companies across Europe – published by The Financial Times, Le Monde and Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung – EU ministers are urged to push for increased carbon-cutting targets.

The letter is in response to an article published in the same newspapers in which the climate change ministers; Chris Huhne, for the UK, Dr Norbert Röttgen, for Germany and Jean-Louis Borloo for France set out the economic benefits for increasing Europe’s climate change...

Nestle stops using products from rainforest destruction

Nestlé announced today that it will stop using products that come from rainforest destruction. The move follows a two month Greenpeace campaign that exposed Nestlé's use of palm oil in products like KitKat. The expansion of palm oil and pulp plantations is driving the destruction of Indonesia's rainforests and peatlands and pushing endangered orang-utans to the brink of extinction.

Nestlé publishes new Creating Shared Value (CSV) Report 2009

Nestlé S.A. has published the new Creating Shared Value (CSV) Report 2009, which successfully highlights Nestlé’s drive in nutrition, water and environmental sustainability and rural development.
