Nestlé International Travel Retail (NITR) has launched a limited edition of Quality Street in the Middle East region, suitable for the approaching holy month of Ramadan.

Nestlé CEO shared how they will cope with raw material price increases

Nestle will use price increases as a last resort in the face of rising raw material costs, says its CEO, and only after implementing its 4-point strategy based on trend predictions, engaging suppliers, replacing ingredients, and cutting down waste.

Nestlé and PepsiCo introduce health brands in Asia

Nestlé and PepsiCo are capitalising on local beliefs in the effectiveness of traditional folk medicine in a bid to capitalise on growing health concerns among Asian consumers.

Five of Nestlé's most promising lines are already being tested in China.In total, Nestlé is to invest $500 million (€370m; £314m) globally over the coming decade on health foods.

Nestlé  announced  yesterday that pharmaceuticals group Novartis had exercised its call option to buy a 52% stake in Alcon for around US$28bn in cash. Novartis has bought 25% of Alcon in April 2008 for $10.4bn and plans to buy the remaining 23% of the business, offering investors a 12% premium if they agree to exchange their Alcon shares for Novartis ones. The move will cost around $11.2bn

Lindt seen as possible target for Nestlé in 2010
