Nestle invests further in the Philippines

Swiss food group Nestlé is going to invest US$93.0 mill. in the construction of a Coffee-mate and Bear Brand powdered milk factory in the Philippines. Mr.John Miller, chairman and CEO for Nestlé Philippines, announced that the construction will start this month and is expected to be completed in March 2012, on Friday (2 July).

The new facility will employ around 170 staff in addition to generating jobs in other sectors that will provide the facility with raw materials and services.

Nestlé opens an Ice Cream Factory in Philippines

Nestlé, the world's largest food maker, has opened an  ice cream and dairy facility in the Philippines. The size of investment is PHP700m (US$15.6m).

The company has opened a site in in Pulilan’s Barangay Tibag to make products "appealing to Filipino taste preferences".

John Miller, chairman and CEO of Nestle Philippines, said: "We hope to be able to help make a positive difference in the lives of our consumers as we stay true to our mission of nurturing generations of Filipino families....
